Responsible for all facets of practice operations and strategic business development in assigned areas. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: daily practice operations, staffing, business development, and providing financial analysis and oversight (including P/L accountability for assigned areas). Works in collaboration with managers, other operations team members, medical directors, regional and corporate leadership and hospital and community partners to evaluate, modify and develop business processes while enhancing local practices profitability and improving daily operations.  Reports to Senior Vice President of Operations.



Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  1. Works closely with regional and practice leadership to drive optimal. clinical operations, excellent patient satisfaction, budget management and strategic growth initiatives.
  2. Plans and executes ongoing strategic initiatives and planning for all clients.
  3. Evaluates business development models.
  4. Monitors client performance; work with VPs of Operations to review and approve monthly financials. Coordinate monthly and/or quarterly financial and operational reviews with Senior leadership.
  5. Participates in the preparation, review and approval of annual budgets.
  6. Analyzes accounts receivable and contract performance reviews for each client.
  7. Develops and executes action plans for progress as needed.
  8. Evaluates practice productivity and provides recommendations for improvement.
  9. Provides review and assistance with contract management of employed physicians as well as advanced practice nurses and PAs, along with partnered hospitals and third-party payers.
  10. Ensure coordination with third-party vendor or internal credentialing and enrollment department to complete enrollment of Physicians and Advanced Practice Nurses.
  11. Serves as lead contact with medical staff office for credentialing purposes at practice facilities.
  12. Establishes and maintains strong collaborative relationships with hospital administration for practice facilities; and administrators, center directors and physician owners for support services clients.
  13. Serves as escalation point of contact for practices, and hospital/practice administrators and providers.
  14. Complies with Compliance Program.
  15. Other duties as requested.


  1. Education: College degree in related field or business management required; masters preferred; or equivalent blend of experience and education.  Clinical background in anesthesia and/or the OR is a plus.
  2. Licensure and Certifications: NA
  3. Work Experience: At least 5 experience in healthcare operations or a related function preferred.
  4. Skills:
    1. Excellent interpersonal skills as well as effective phone presentation and strong customer service skills.
    2. Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills. 
    3. Strong written presentation skills.
    4. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite:  Outlook, Excel, Word.  General database knowledge.

  2. Ability to prioritize and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment, with conflicting deadlines.
  3. Ability to collaborate with all people/aspects of selling cycle to achieve all goals.        
  4. Must be flexible and able to adapt to an ever-changing environment in a productive manner.
  5. Ability to influence decisions and direct the activity of prospective physicians, advanced practice nurses, PAs and administrative staff as appropriate.
  6. Ability to work a flexible, varied schedule.
